HUNG KUO GROUP BUILDS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY SKYLINE FOR TAIPEI

ANATOMY OF AN ICON

Nestled in the heart of Taipei’s Dunbei office district, the iconic Hung Kuo Building has led the local office market in providing the highest international standards of office space to meet the needs of the most discerning of local and multinational tenants since it opened in 1989.

A timeless classic in the distinctive style of Taiwanese master architect C.Y. Lee , the building’s award-winning design features strong symmetrical lines softened with organic curves inspired by the lotus. These fluid accents extend throughout the exterior and interior, subtly infusing elements of oriental culture into the modern office space. This aesthetic fusion extends to the bold cantilevered upper levels of the building, evocative of the overhanging roofs of traditional East Asian architecture.

An expansive main lobby atrium allows for the ground floor to be flooded with natural light and this design feature is echoed in the upper levels with many tiers having open duplex floor-to-ceiling sections in their lobby areas to provide abundant natural illumination, and atria gardens throughout the building combine to create the feeling of bringing nature indoors, enhancing the wellbeing of occupants.

With a total floor area of 60,787 square meters, or 654,303 square feet comprising 19 floors above ground and four below, Hung Kuo Building is currently the workplace of choice for nearly 70 companies and their combined 3,200 staff.
